Even more troubling is Microsoft completely trying to rip off Nintendo with their new motion camera. Really Microsoft, i mean really? One of the "games" they showed using this new motion sensing technology was a middle aged woman swiping her hands in the air and on the television, a stream of water was shown to splash. Wow....looks like a lot of fun. If I wanted lame motion games for casual gamers I would have kept my Wii. I'm not saying the technology isn't cool. It is and it could be innovative, but i'm not going to shell out a ton of money for lame games, like swinging my hands around to paint a background.
Another thing that is annoying comes from Microsoft's flagship brand, Halo. I plan on buying Halo ODST, but the dialogue was terrible in the game. Hopefully the voice acting isn't finalized and it was rushed for the demo. Then, after that demo, Bungie announced a new Halo game. Wow, they just keep churning these out left and right. ODST isn't even out and they have plans for a new one? I wouldn't care, except that it looks like a prequel. Whatever happened to Halo 4 and explaining what happened to Master Chief? Better yet, why is everyone overlooking the fact that Bungie stated they weren't working on any other Halo games, only to reveal they were flat out lying a year ago and announce a new one.
Speaking of liars...well, ok maybe not liars, but traitors at the very least comes from Kojima. The next biggest thing that remains confusing, due to the pure crappiness of the media, is the New Metal Gear Solid game. This is a sensitive subject to me, as the original Metal Gear Solid is my favorite game of all time. The announcement was made that a new Metal Gear was coming to xbox 360 and...thats about it! IGN reports that it is an xbox 360 exclusive. G4 reports it is also coming to playstation 3 and several various other websites claim that Kojima is being mum on the subject. A year ago Hideo Kojima said metal gear would not being coming to xbox. You can't trust anybody these days.....
More nerdy rants tomorrow.
